Do you own a gym or leisure center? Discover how to build a climbing wall in just a few steps, and offer your users a unique climbing experience with Luxov climbing holds!
How to choose your connected climbing wall?
To create a safe, original and fun zone, you need to choose the right structure. You have two options:
- If you already have a climbing wall, check the prerequisites for installing interactive climbing holds. At the very least, you need a 220 V socket, an Internet connection and sufficient access behind the structure (60 cm). Wall thickness must not exceed 25 mm, and the distance between holds must be 30 to 40 cm. Wall dimensions should be between 2.4 and 3.2 m high and 3 to 5.6 m wide.
- If you want to build an interactive climbing wall from A to Z, there are a number of different freestanding structures to choose from. You can opt for a standard-sized wall (approx. 4 m wide by 3.6 m high) or an XL-sized wall (5.5 to 5.75 m wide by 3.6 m high).
How do you build your indoor climbing wall?
Building a climbing wall means proceeding logically. First, choose the right product (complete wall or single holds). Next, plan sufficient space and secure the area around the climbing wall.
Order all the materials you need to install your indoor climbing wall. Attach the structure and climbing panel, connect the holds to the cards and check the safety of the whole assembly. Your climbing wall is ready!
How do Luxov’s illuminated and tactile climbing holds work?
Inside each hold is an LED doughnut, synchronized with an electronic card on the back of your wall. This sends a signal that controls the climbing holds’ light and touch functions.
Depending on the package you choose, you can animate holds by level block (Educlimb), load climbing scenarios (Luxov Fun) or immerse climbers in life-size climbing games (Gaming Board).
How to install your interactive climbing holds?
Follow these four steps:
- You’ll need the Luxov plug, a luminous donut, an M10 screw, a screwdriver and an Allen key.
- Insert the donut into the dedicated space at the rear of the socket.
- Place the plug on the wall and screw it in place using the Allen key.
- Secure the anti-rotation screwdriver with a screwdriver.
Your interactive climbing holds are now in place! Now all you have to do is connect them for a fun, immersive experience.
How to wire the electronic boards connected to the climbing sockets?
Here are the steps to follow:
- Preview the order in which the circuit boards are to be mounted (starting from the bottom left of the wall).
- You’ll need a board connection cable, a touch cable, two screws and a screwdriver.
- Place the card around the insert.
- Secure the circuit board with the screws through the two holes provided.
- Screw the touch cable around the insert, then insert the first board connection cable.
- Interconnect the boards, respecting the wiring direction.
- Place the hub as close as possible to the wall and connect it to the first cards of each block.
- Install the optional display at the front of the wall, then connect it to the hub via an HDMI cable.
